Norms FM

FM 4471

Specifies the fire performance and natural hazards of Class 1 roof panels. These covers must be able to withstand a standard litmus test, as well as wind load, wind-borne debris, and hail.

FM 4881

Specifies the fire behaviour of Class 1 exterior wall systems. These systems must be able to withstand a standard fire test without flames spreading to the unexposed face of the panel. These systems must also be able to withstand the load of wind, wind-borne debris and hail.

FM 4880

Specifies the fire behaviour of Class 1 insulating panels for walls and ceilings, interior finishing materials or cladding systems. These panels must be able to withstand a standard fire test without flames spreading to the unexposed face of the panel.

In addition to the requirements for resistance to fire and natural hazards, the FM 4880, 4881 and 4471 approval standards also specify the requirements for mechanical performance, durability and installation of insulated metal panels.

FM certifies complete insulation panel systems instead of certifying only individual components since it is considered that the effectiveness and safety of a fire system depend on the interaction and compatibility of all its components.

In this sense, Isocindu has three different insulating panel fixing systems: 2 wall systems and 1 roof system, which have been tested and certified to meet the requirements of approval standards 4880, 4881 and 4471.

Taking into account these 3 certified fastening systems, their availability can be extended to 7 different types of panels with thicknesses ranging from 1 5/8" to 6". This provides a wide range of options when making specifications, thus opening up a range of possibilities to meet the specific needs of the project.
